Älmhult/Möcklanda [ESMU]
for MS Flight Simulator 2004

Flight Simulator scenery covering Möcklanda flygplats (ESMU) and it´s surroundings. Möcklanda is situated just north of Älmhult and is run by Älmhults Flygklubb (Älmhult Aeroclub). Version 1.0

Freeware scenery for FS2004 made with Afcad, FSSC, EOD, Scenerybuilder and FSLandclass. Adapted to be used with Scandinavia Roads & Waters by Raimondo Taburet. Of course the scenery can also be used without these add-ons but this will give a less realistic impression.
Not tested in FS2002 and not meant for that edition.

This scenery is created by Erik Björnwall. Please visit the Swedish Design Team website!

INSTALLATION
To be placed and added to, and activated in, FS2004 in the usual way. I have found it best to place the scenery outside of the simulator in a folder that I name FSADDON; the path to the scenery then will be C:/FSADDON/ESMU_Almhult. Of course anywhere where you usually place sceneries should work fine though.
Please note that landclass changes for the close surroundings are included as a separate scenery, ESMU_LC, which must also be added to and activated in FS2004; typical path C:/FSADDON/ESMU_Almhult/ESMU_LC.

If you have any other landclass scenery for this part of Sweden installed(e.g. the file that accompanied my ESMW_Tingsryd scenery) it´s essential that ESMU_LC is placed higher up in the hierarchy to be seen. Other ways to install might off course also work; I just know that this one works well!

The attached Afcad file AF2_ESMU.BGL is necessary for the airport to display properly and should preferrably be placed within FS9\Addon Scenery\Scenery.

If you need more fuel to reach your next destination all you need to do is place your aircraft on the grass between the tanks and the apron, and "someone" will fill up your tanks. By the way the airport is strategically placed between Tingsryd, Ljungby/Feringe and Knislinge; just a short hop to any of them!

On-site inspection showed that there are lights in all runway markings but I don´t know if they work or if they are used in real life. I have however chosen to let them light up at night in this scenery to facilitate take offs and landings in bad light conditions.

All textures are made from own photos and I want to thank the members of Älmhults Flygklubb that I´ve been in contact with for their kind reception and for letting me loose with my camera all over the place!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have tested the scenery at all times of day, seasons and weather situations without finding any faults but there are certainly some that I have not noticed. Please feel free to tell me if you find any. Comments and/or questions are welcome at erik.bjornwall@affv.nu
